Amsterdam Central Station offers good connections by public transport. It is a starting point for many travel destinations, including Schiphol Airport. The train brings you to the airport in 15 minutes. You can reach Overhoeks in 10 minutes by car from the Amsterdam ring road. If you are walking from the Dam, located in the centre of Amsterdam, Overhoeks is just 15 minutes away.
The ferry that goes from Central Station to Overhoeks is free of charge and operates 24 hours a day, every six minutes during the day and every 15 minutes in the evening and at night. It is a 5-minute ferry ride. Overhoeks is also easily accessible to cyclists and pedestrians. Along the shore of the IJ, in the Oeverpark, a footpath and a cycling path will be built. In the future, this route may be extended to other locations on the northern shore of the IJ.
